I love this quote by Neil Gaiman, on the tribulations of story ideas:
"In your head, it's wonderful, brilliant, fabulous. Then you sit down to write and it becomes a shadow."
Good to know I'm not the only one who feels like she's watching the most incredible movie inside her head, only to realize it's not that great on paper. Not in the beginning, at least.

Hello Cassandra! wanted to let you know that I got the derwent pastels at my local art store...they sell them a la carte and also in sets. You can buy a few to try, but I loooove them. I add them at the end for additional color/texture, etc. Here is a link to the one's I got...there are alot of different brands, but I've heard that derwent is a good one. I'm sure you know that already...I tend to babble. lol. love your blog! and of course your art! see you on flickr, etc! xo lia

Great quote, & thanks for sharing!
He comes up with some gems, that Neil Gaiman. My favourite is "you have to write if you want to be a writer. Because eleves won't do the work for you." Touche.
