Procrastinating (not writing my novel)

(I make desktop wallpaper for "inspiration")

Ezra
I have known you

in the hush of trees
in autumn's amber light
in fields of summer sunsets

Ezra
I have known you

in the hurting sea
and in the distant city lights
remembering all the nights

when my heart was dark and blind

Very nice. I feel a longing and sense of remembrance with shades of sorrow when I read this. Excellent.

P.S. - I too procrastinate and write poetry when I myself should be hammering out my novel! Glad to know I'm not the only one. Take care. ;-)

Writing is writing...

Did you see my post about submissions needed for a local (Knoxville-ish) Christmas anthology? Poems and art needed, too!

Breathtaking! I picture a woman
writing a letter to a lover during
the holocaust, or perhaps another
prisoner she catches a glimpse of
and in that, a glimpse of a life
they should have shared.
